What is a ONE Membership and how can I join?
What does my ONE Membership support?
Scottsdale Cultural Council dba Scottsdale Arts is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization committed to developing and advancing high-quality arts and cultural experiences to residents of Scottsdale and beyond. Your purchase of a ONE Membership directly sustains all diverse arts and educational programs at Scottsdale Arts and its four operating branches: Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts, Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art (SMoCA), Scottsdale Public Art, and Scottsdale Arts Learning and Innovation.
Who can use my ONE Membership?
Each ONE Membership provides a year of arts access for up to two named adult cardholders residing in the same household such as a spouse, partner, or adult relative.
Each ONE Member will receive a customized membership card for the year and have exclusive access to account information.
Please note that ONE Membership cards and benefits are non-transferrable. In order to receive member benefits, one of the two designated cardholders must be present at the time of purchase.

Can I purchase a ONE Membership as a gift for someone else?
When will I receive my membership cards?
ONE Membership cards are printed and mailed to the address provided within one week of enrollment. If you do not receive your cards in the mail within 15 days of enrollment, please email us at [email protected] to request a new card.
Forgot your ONE Membership card? Simply present a valid photo ID at Scottsdale Center for Performing Arts’ Box Office or Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art (SMoCA) admissions desk and we will gladly look up your membership account. If placing a ticket order by phone, be sure to provide your full name associated with your ONE Membership.
How do I learn more about The North American Reciprocal Museum (NARM) Association opportunities?

Scottsdale Arts is proud to participate in the North American Reciprocal Museum Program that provides access to various reciprocal programs across the country. To use your reciprocal benefits at one of our partnering institutions, please present your current Scottsdale Arts Member card at the admissions desk or box office.
Reciprocal benefits may include:
- Free admission to museums that charge an admission fee for their permanent collection
- Free or discounted admission to selected special exhibitions
- Free admission to members’ previews when a ticket is not required
- Discounts on concert, lecture, film, and event tickets (if applicable)
- Discounts on purchases made in the museum book and gift shops
Please note: Benefits, prices, and restrictions vary by museum.
All current Scottsdale Arts Members at the $100 Friends and above receive reciprocal benefits to many institutions in North America.
What is a Premier Level Membership?
Is my ONE Membership tax deductible?
A portion of your ONE Membership is tax deductible and varies by level. 10% of your ONE Membership is considered a good faith estimate of the fair market value of goods or services of the benefits available to you as a member. Review membership tax-deductible breakdown below.
Members should expect to receive a customized tax receipt by mail along with their membership card(s). Membership cards are mailed within five business days of purchase. Please contact us should you wish to waive tangible membership benefits in order to receive the maximum tax deduction by law.
Arts Lover $50 — $5 FMV, $45 tax deductible
Friends $100 — $10 FMV, $90 tax deductible
Contributor $250 — $25 FMV, $225 tax deductible
Supporter $500 — $50 FMV, $450 tax deductible
President’s Club $1,250 — $125 FMV, $1,125 tax deductible
Inner Circle $2,500 — $250 FMV, $2,250 tax deductible

How do I find out about the events listed?
Visit the Scottsdale Arts website, where you’ll find links to access the websites of all three Scottsdale Arts divisions: Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts, SMoCA and Scottsdale Public Art. Events are listed on each division’s website.
How do I know when to renew?
ONE Members will receive multiple reminders starting three months before their expiration date. Scottsdale Arts staff will be contacting members who are expiring soon in multiple ways including by email, phone calls, and mailed renewal notices. You can renew your membership by phone by contacting the Member Patron Services Box Office at 480-499-8587 or conveniently online.
Visionary Circle Questions
What is Visionary Circle and how do I join?
Visionary Circle is a philanthropic giving society group, comprised of individuals who spend over $5,000 annually with Scottsdale Arts through donations, tickets, ONE Membership, or attendance at special events – or a combination of these categories. Benefits include exclusive behind-the-scenes experiences, private events, artist meet and greets, naming opportunities, discounts and more – all by continuing to generously support the art you love at Scottsdale Arts!
As soon as the criteria are met, individuals are immediately invited to join!
Visionary Circle is ideal for those wishing to deepen their knowledge and enjoyment of the performing and visual arts while growing a network of art-minded friends. For more information, please contact Olivia Homewood, individual giving manager, at 480-425-5353 or [email protected].
What are examples of spending categories that make me eligible for Visionary Circle? What are non-eligible spending categories?
At this time, qualifying categories include: ONE Membership; subscription packages or tickets purchased for performances at the Center; single ticket admission to SMoCA; tickets to events, like the Scottsdale Arts Festival, the annual Gala, Excursions with Scottsdale Arts, Sippin’ Series, and Mystery at the Museum; as well as direct donations to any branch of Scottsdale Arts. Non-qualifying categories include: spending on food or drink (including the Catwalk Lounge); retail purchases at the Store @ the Center or [email protected]; in-kind donations or “soft credits.”
If I’m a ONE Member or sponsor in addition to being part of Visionary Circle, what benefits do I get?
In addition to the benefits you are entitled to at your annual level of ONE Membership (please visit the ONE Membership homepage for details) or individualized benefits per your show, exhibition, or event sponsorship, participation in Visionary Circle comes with a slew of unique benefits to further enhance and upgrade your experience with Scottsdale Arts – including the opportunity to name a seat in the Center and access to private rehearsals and exhibition installations.

Is participation in Visionary Circle tax deductible?
That depends on how you spend $5,000 with Scottsdale Arts annually. Tickets and admission fees are not tax deductible. A portion of ONE Membership is tax-deductible to the extent by law and varies by level. Direct donations to Scottsdale Arts are tax-deductible to the full extent by law. Please contact us should you wish to waive tangible benefits in order to receive the maximum tax deduction by law.
How do I renew my participation in Visionary Circle?
Those who automatically qualify for Visionary Circle are invited to participate on a rolling basis and those who are on the cusp of qualifying are extended the offer to join between May–July and October-December by making a donation to close the gap.
