Connections

June 1, 2020

We mourn the wrongful deaths of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, and all those who have come tragically before them.

We stand in solidarity with Black families, communities, artists, colleagues, and the millions of people across the country who peacefully took to the streets in protest.

We condemn systemic racism and all senseless acts of violence.

We exercise compassion for marginalized communities and for all those who live their daily lives in fear.

We believe that our work in the arts will channel anger into positive action and reconnect our fragile humanity.

We admire the contributions of so many extraordinary Black and African American artists, whose ingenuity transforms our world.

We pledge to support systemic change so that every citizen can be free from prejudice and injustice.

Sincerely,

Your Scottsdale Arts Team
