This year’s event will continue to put light-based public art center stage with a diverse collection of engaging and interactive installations. The overall event theme, SHOWTIME, will highlight the “art” of performance through the event’s public art, workshops and activities, tours, community engagements, special events, and, of course, through live music and dance! Questions surrounding the nature of performance, its evolving role in society, and the relationship between performers and the public will be central to the discussions and explorations throughout the event.
