young artists make their professional debut

Visions ’26 highlights the skills, inspirations, and ideas exchanged between advanced high school art students and Arizona-based professional artists over the year. Both Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art (SMoCA) exhibitions and artist-led workshops inspired the students to create artworks expressive of topics important to them.

This exhibition is the students’ first opportunity to share their voices and show their work in a professional art gallery. Join the celebrations as the young artists make their professional debut!

Exhibition dates: May 1–Sept. 13, 2026

About Visions

Visions is a year-long visual arts program provided to Valley teens. In collaboration with six high schools, advanced art students visit Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art (SMoCA) for discipline-based, contemporary, and civically involved art workshops with professional teaching artists. Field trips involve collaborative art projects designed to facilitate multicultural discussions, conflict-resolution practices, and innovative painting, digital, photography, video, sound, and sculptural techniques.
