From “Sunshine of Your Love” to “White Room,” Cream was the original blues-rock power trio and originator of the supergroup concept. Now, the next generation is proving that talent truly does run in the family.

Celebrating the legendary music of their fathers, Kofi Baker and Malcolm Bruce—sons of Ginger Baker and and Jack Bruce—join Ginger's grandnephew Rob Johnson in performing Cream classics and songs from other related bands of the period, such as Blind Faith. Quite simply, it’s a not-to-be-missed concert of blistering blues rock, performed by the true inheritors of this unique and unparalleled tradition.

This isn’t your typical tribute act that plays the music exactly as it was performed before. It’s second nature for them to dive inside the music, bringing it alive, like a living organism, constantly morphing into something new. And although they have some pretty significant shoes to fill, through some kind of genetic imprint and intuitive sense, as well as years of performing alongside their fathers themselves, they have arrived at the true heart of what Cream’s music stands for. Together, they are bringing to light the spirit and energy and audacity of their fathers’ music.

“This trio has the talent to live up to the Cream legacy, and they do amazing things with the material. Rather than simply replicate the original recordings and arrangements, they take the music to new places, creating a fresh, in-the-moment concert experience.” — Best Classic Bands

“Sons of Cream is not a tribute band. Instead, they breathe new life into the music of Cream, honoring its legacy while infusing it with their own energy and musicianship. ... Their show combines blistering blues-rock with engaging storytelling for a concert experience unlike any other.” — Eye On Annapolis

About the Artists

The band Cream was one of the first rock supergroups to emerge from the British rhythm and blues movement of the 1960s. The band fused its love of the blues with elements of pop, rock, psychedelia, folk, and African rhythms, producing an unprecedented blend of superlative songwriting with powerful improvisation. Now, nearly 60 years after the trio of Eric Clapton, Ginger Baker, and Jack Bruce burst onto the global scene, the kids of one of the most iconic bands of all time are breathing fresh life into the family legacy with their project Sons of Cream.
