“I Don’t Want to Wait” to hear Paula Cole wonder “Where Have All the Cowboys Gone?”

Paula Cole returns to the stage with THIS FIRE: 30—a special anniversary tour celebrating three decades of the landmark album that launched the hits “Where Have All the Cowboys Gone?” and “I Don’t Want to Wait.” Cole will perform This Fire in its entirety—revisiting the era-defining music with an intimate, emotionally charged performance that brings new life and nuance to the songs that fans have carried with them for 30 years.

This Fire cemented Cole as one of the most distinctive voices of the 1990s, earning her a Grammy for Best New Artist and a headlining spot on Sarah McLachlan’s Lilith Fair tour. She has collaborated with everyone from Peter Gabriel, Jason Isbell, and Dolly Parton to Herbie Hancock, Emmylou Harris, and Amy Lee of Evanescence.

For fans of: Sarah McLachlan, Alanis Morissette, Sheryl Crow, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Shawn Colvin, KT Tunstall, Natalie Merchant, and Tori Amos.

About the Artist

Cole won the Grammy for Best New Artist in 1998 and was the first woman nominated in her own right for the Producer of the Year Grammy. A stint as the lead female vocalist for Peter Gabriel on his 1993–94 Secret World Tour led to a trio of ’90s albums that established Cole as a fearless singer-songwriter, known for her genre-bending and boundary-breaking sound. In recent years, she honed a love for jazz and folk standards, while her newest album, Lo (2024), stays true to her authentically soul-stirring style as it beautifully blends vulnerability with joy.
