About the Artists
With roots in Guadalajara and Mexico City, mariachi music has stretched beyond the borders of Mexico. In Chicago, it birthed Mariachi Herencia de México. Since then, the two-time Latin Grammy-nominated band has issued six chart-topping albums and performed across North America, paving the way for a new generation of mariachi musicians. The band’s 2017 debut, Nuestra Herencia, topped the Latin streaming charts and earned Mariachi Herencia de México its first Latin Grammy nod for Best Ranchero/Mariachi Album. The album Herederos (2022) also received a nomination in the same category. The band’s latest album, the groundbreaking 2025 album Viva La Música, amassed millions of views and streams worldwide.
