About the Artists
Formed in the early 1990s, at the dawn of tribute shows and shortly after the legendary Queen frontman Freddie Mercury died, Killer Queen's first public shows were at the University of London, following in the footsteps of the original band, which performed its first gig in 1970 at the university. Singer Patrick Myers had trained in both acting and dancing while forming Killer Queen, and their popularity grew to such an extent that they soon secured a residency at London’s historic Strand Theatre in the West End, attracting nationwide BBC coverage and the eventual honor of being named “Worldwide Best Tribute Band.” Fatboy Slim recruited Myers to recreate Queen-style harmonies for “The Real Life,” scoring a #1 hit. Through their career, the members of Killer Queen have performed in arenas throughout Europe and logged annual, sold-out gigs at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado for the past decade.
