Biography
Jay Tettamanti is the award-winning creative mind behind Chalk River Labs, a studio based in Melbourne, Australia. The studio specializes in projection sculptures that tour light and art festivals around the world. His works merge sculpture, projection, and sound into immersive experiences that invite audiences to explore and connect. Tettamanti’s artworks have featured at major festivals in North America, including World of Winter, BLINK Cincinnati, Lights On Stratford, and MAD Arts, as well as Enlighten Canberra in Australia. His projection sculpture Night Parrots won both the Artistic Excellence Award and People’s Choice Award at the Ephemera Festival in Townsville 2023. Through these travelling installations, Tettamanti continues to bring large-scale, interactive art to diverse audiences, transforming public spaces into shared experiences of wonder and discovery.
