The Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art (SMoCA) is an AAM-accredited, internationally recognized institution committed to creativity, collaboration, experimentation and exchange. SMoCA fosters meaningful connections across diverse communities by cultivating an inclusive space for conversation, curiosity, and shared understanding. Designed by award-winning architect Will Bruder, SMoCA’s minimalist building (a renovation of a former movie theater) has five galleries for showcasing changing exhibitions and works from the Museum’s growing permanent collection of art by local, national, and international artists.

What the Earth Keeps is a site-specific installation, performance, and cyanotype-mapping project by the collective Desert ArtLAB that explores relationships between land, ecology, and cultural memory.

Model Home is an installation-based exhibition that examines recent changes to the broader desert landscape because of increased development and population growth in the Phoenix metro area.

Non-members: $16
Students, seniors (65+), veterans, active duty-military, and educators: $13. ID required, please purchase admission in-person.
