Kennedy Center Partners in Education 

Kennedy Center Partners in Education is a national program designed to expand educational partnerships between community arts centers and local school districts. Scottsdale Arts, in partnership with Scottsdale Unified School District and Paradise Valley Unified School District, provides participatory workshops for teachers focused on integrating the arts into classroom curricula while addressing the Arizona academic standards.

SmART Integration

A classroom-based, curriculum-focused residency program that targets learning academic standards through the arts. Hands-on experiences allow students to creatively explore their world, collaboratively ideate, and imagine solutions to current and future problems. The results are enduring understanding and increased student engagement.

Wolf Trap

How we engage children in the first years of their lives profoundly impacts future learning and success. In partnership with Wolf Trap Institute for Early Learning Through the Arts, Arizona Wolf Trap uses arts integration to inspire children with a lifelong love of learning and of the performing arts. 


Early Childhood Arts-Integrated Residencies

Participants in Arizona Wolf Trap Early Learning Residencies receive access to a research-tested, arts-integrated professional development program that enriches instructional practice. This residency program pairs master teaching artists with classroom educators to co-teach 11 classroom sessions. Over the course of the residency, teachers will learn how to foster creativity, critical thinking, and emergent literacy skills through music, movement, drama, and puppetry.

Length: seven weeks, two thirty-minute sessions per week

Grades: Preschool–1st grade

Wolf Trap on Demand

Designed to meet preschool to 1st grade learning outcomes, Arizona Wolf Trap teaching artists have created videos, teaching artist lesson plans, and classroom extension activities to share with you.
