Canal Convergence returns for its 14th year at the Scottsdale Waterfront with an exciting and theatrical featured theme: SHOWTIME!
This year’s event will continue to put light-based public art center stage with a diverse collection of engaging and interactive installations. The overall event theme, SHOWTIME, will highlight the “art” of performance through the event’s public art, workshops and activities, tours, community engagements, special events, and, of course, through live music and dance! Questions surrounding the nature of performance, its evolving role in society, and the relationship between performers and the public will be central to the discussions and explorations throughout the event.

Featured Theme and Artworks
Artworks highlighting the SHOWTIME theme will investigate how public art can serve as both a backdrop and an interactive medium for performance by hosting collaborative dance performances while also transforming the audience into performers. Attendees can look forward to a seamless blend of artistic expressions that celebrate the rich history of performance and highlight its significance in contemporary culture.
As Canal Convergence 2025 approaches, the emphasis on performance, community engagement, and accessibility promises to create a dazzling spectacle, inviting visitors to explore, reflect, and interact with the art and audiences surrounding them.
