Building Visual Literacy Skills

Observation and visual literacy skills are essential to the success of both educators and students. We live in a fast-paced culture, where we are bombarded with an assortment of images and information with little time to interpret what we are seeing. In this workshop, educators will develop their skills of observation by looking critically at works of art. Participating educators will also learn ways of reflecting upon these observations through journaling, poetry and art-making activities.
