In Season 2 episode 2, SMoCA’s very own exhibitions manager Laura Spalding Best, who is also a prominent Phoenix-based artist, shares the inner workings of installing contemporary art exhibitions and her personal journey into this niche field through her artistic practice. This episode also highlights Barrio Café Chief Silvana’s support of local artists, Antoinette Cauley’s monumental Black Lives Matter mural in Phoenix, and the transformation of Childsplay Theatre’s programs during the COVID-19 pandemic. Watch host Alberto Rios and the amazing artists share their stories in the newest season of Art in the 48.
